It is a pity that the council cannot spend just a few pounds of the money they have shared from their £1million windfall on a few plants for their flower beds in the borough. The area in north west Harrow is a disgrace. They can then perhaps buy a few brooms for the street cleaners, if there are any? £100,00 on training to do what I ask?

Perhaps it could be spent on tree planting, as in the last week trees have been cut down at Whitmore school and on the site of the old Vaughan school. Some trees were oak, which I thought were protected. Then, cleaning up the graffiti: well, it's covered the toddlers' climbing frame in West Harrow Park for months. There is supposed to be a special squad to clean up graffiti. It's a good thing to save money but not if it leaves a town not fit to live in.
