X FACTOR pop sensation, Kye Sones, will return home to Harrow to perform at the switch on of Harrow town centre’s Christmas Tree lights.

The popular talent show singer, West End Lane, Pinner will perform four songs from a stage outside the Royal Oak pub in St Ann’s Road on Saturday, December 1, Harrow Council have confirmed.

Crowds will be entertained from 4pm on St Ann’s Road, with Radio Northwick Park getting the party started. The Mayor of Harrow, Nizam Ismail, will switch on the Christmas tree lights at 5pm.

Harrow singers Mitsotu, who narrowly missed the live shows after making it through to the judges’ houses in this year’s X factor, will warm up the audience with a live performance before Kye takes to the stage.

Harrow Council has installed the Christmas Tree, along with festive lights in Station Road, College Road and St Ann’s Road, using support from the Mayor's Outer London Fund, which is helping increase the vibrancy and growth of high street places across London.

Manager of St Ann’s shopping centre, Jeff Jackson said: “I think it’s fantastic that Kye will be here to perform for everybody. I think Christmas is all about children and a lot of young people will really love the fact that he’ll be here. I think this could draw in a lot of people who haven’t been to Harrow before and I hope they will see what we have to offer and will keep coming back for more.”
