Residents are urged to work up a sweat and try something new at Hillingdon Council's Physical Activity Taster Day.

The event is open to all residents aged 55-plus and will be hosted by Botwell Green Sports and Leisure Centre between 9.30am-3pm on Tuesday January 15.

From badminton to water workouts to zumba, there is something for everyone. Information stalls and healthy food cooking demonstrations will also be taking place in Botwell library throughout the day. Residents taking part in an activity session are also invited to enjoy a free buffet lunch at the library.

Cllr Douglas Mills, Cabinet Member for Community, Commerce and Regeneration said: "Through the Change4Life programme we are encouraging Hillingdon residents to enjoy the health benefits of physical exercise. We recognise the importance of keeping fit and active in helping our older residents to remain healthy and independent, so are pleased to be able to offer them this opportunity to take part in a free activity session."
