WITCHES, skeletons and zombies came out to play at a themed charity bash organised by teenagers.
Guests dressed up in all sorts of scary costumes at the 100% Halloween Oxjam night in order to hear bands play at Harrow Arts Centre in Uxbridge Road, Hatch End, on Saturday evening and to raise money for Oxfam.
The 100% brand is the centre’s in-house project to allow youngsters to organise and promote live music gigs to be enjoyed by their peers, aged 14 to 25, and the producers behind this event were St Dominic’s Sixth Form College students, Nastasya Naccari and Emily McBride, both 16.
The crowd at the alcohol-free show in The Studio cheered on Mercia, a Kenton-based duo who won a previous 100% Battle of the Bands, and Humi, who came second in the same contest, as well as Obsession and others who took to the stage for an open mic session.
Earlier professional dancer Habib Ouro led the audience in a rendition of the famous shuffling undead steps from Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’.
