ELDERLY residents have been warned to stay alert after fraudsters posing as police officers struck at two addresses in Feltham within hours.

The first victim, an 88-year-old woman lining in Main Street, Feltham, received a phone call from the conman at about 3.30am on Monday March 1.

He claimed to be a policeman and said a colleague would be round to pick up the lady's card because it had been involved in a 'fraudulent transaction'.

Shortly afterwards a white male, aged about 25, arrived to collect the card. He had brown hair, thin-rimmed glasses, a black flat cap and dark brown/black suit.

About an hour later, a second victim, an 83-year-old man also living in Main Street, fell for the same trick. The man who collected his card is described as a black, 6ft and aged about 30. He was wearing a grey peaked cap, a brown suit and black-rimmed glasses.

Police have urged people never to give their passwords or PIN to anyone. If they are unsure about any visitors, they should not let them in the house and should call Hounslow Police on 0300 123 1212, or 999 in an emergency.
