ABOUT 700 people attended a charity concert in memory of a young girl who died of cancer, raising more than s5,000.
Crowds packed into a chapel in north-east London last Saturday to remember Liesel Angel Appiah-Boakye, of Maple Way, Feltham. She lost her battle against the childhood cancer neuroblastoma in February last year.
The money raised will go to the Liesel Angel Trust, set up to support families who have terminally-ill children.
Liesel's mother, Lovia Ofori-Agyemang, said: I want to thank all the volunteers, including those from the parish of St Michael and St Martin.
It was a very joyful atmosphere and Im delighted with the turnout. The money raised will help us support other families, which would make Liesel happy.
