THE Com Cafe on the Glebe Estate in West Drayton is arranging a number of festive events for families in the run-up to Christmas.

Today (Wednesday) the cafe in Byron Way is hosting the Laurel Lane Glee Club who will be singing Christmas carols. Hillingdon mayor Councillor Michael Markham will be on hand to switch on the cafe’s Christmas tree lights. The event starts at 3.30pm.

Tomorrow at 4pm, youngsters will be invited to search for Santa on a walk from the Com Cafe to West Drayton Library. Every child who comes along will receive a free santa hat along with a present from Santa at the library. There will also be teas or coffees for parents.

Finally, the cafe will be staging its Christmas party on Monday, from 4pm with games, food prizes and fun for the whole family.

Com Cafe community development officer David Graham said: “These events should all help to put people in a festive mood.”
