A diverse school community celebrated its unique mix of culture and heritage on International Day.

Staff and students at Gifford Primary in Greenhill Gardens, Northolt , dressed in traditional costumes and brought in food from their native countries on Thursday last week (June 26).

Pupils livened up the morning assembly with dance, music and drama and in the afternoon there was a fair with rides, raffles, henna, face painting.

The Pop Choir also sang and enriched the atmosphere in the grounds.

Sabrina Carroll, School Administrator, said: “It was a wonderful afternoon where everyone had fun coming together to raise money for their school.”

The amount raised is still being counted.
