Closed clinic now eyesore

KENMORE Clinic in Kenmore Road has been closed for some months and the site is now derelict and overgrown.

KENMORE Clinic in Kenmore Road has been closed for some months and the site is now derelict and overgrown.

While I understand that the future use of the site is to be the subject of a consultation concerning the wider primary health provision in East Harrow in the new year, it is currently an overgrown eyesore and a potential danger, with crumbling buildings.

It is clearly going to be some time before the site is to be redeveloped. In the meantime, is it fair that residents in the most health deprived parts of the borough have to suffer not only having to travel some distance to receive healthcare, but have to put up with this ugly attraction to anti-social behaviour and even rats?

I have written to the chief executive of the PCT regarding this, but have yet to receive a reply.
