It's one of the most fiendishly difficult aerial acts and a big top in Hounslow is the only place you'll see it.

A French circus troupe is bringing some Gallic flair to the borough next month, including what it claims is the only chance in the UK to witness the legendary triple somersault on the trapeze.

Santus Circus, which has earned a reputation for blending the traditional with mind-blowingly modern feats, will set up camp at Rectory Farm, beside the A4 in Cranford, from March 5 to 16.

For the first time this side of the Channel, Ernest and Roger Santus' circus will feature high-wire walkers and flying trapeze, including that triple somersault.

Performances last for about two hours and also include knife-throwing, juggling and a little clowning. Prices start at £9 and a family ticket (two adults and two children) costs £40, but all tickets are just £7 on Wednesdays.
