NORTHWOOD HILLS: Christmas is a time to remember those we can no longer celebrate with.

Record a lost loved one’s name on a special Christmas tree at St Edmund’s Church in Pinner Road.

The Lights of Life tree will be in the foyer from December 6 - January 6 and everyone is welcome to record personal tributes in a memorial book.

NORTHWOOD: Start your Christmas shopping by picking up some seasonal crafts made by local people.

An array of quality crafts and great gift ideas will be on offer at the next Northwood Craft Market; from embroidery, jewellery, Christmas decorations and cards, to knitted items, crocheted toys, fabric purses and bags, household accessories and much more.

Children can take part in hands-on workshops and make their own Christmas crafts to take home and there will also be a treasure hunt and the chance to meet Father Christmas.

Northwood Live at Home Charity will provide Christmas puddings, mince pies and homemade jams and jellies, and tea, coffee and homemade cakes will be available at the church coffee shop.

The event is on December 7 and runs from 10am-3pm at the hall in Oaklands Gate.

Admission is free.

NORTHWOOD: Everyone is welcome to an outdoor Christmas evening in Northwood.

On December 5, Christmas carols will be sung by the Northolt Military Wives Choir and local schools outside the war memorial on Green Lane from 6pm to 8pm.

Some shops will stay open to serve festive treats and there will also be stalls and an information stand where you can find out about Save Our Northwood Campaign.

NORTHWOOD: Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the festive season to enjoy some winter tales from around the world.

Northwood Community Arts’s story telling day aims to bring good cheer on the Winter Solstice.

The all-day event is being held at St John’s Church in Hallowell Road on December 21 and is open to children and adults of all ages.

The first 45 minute story telling starts at 11am and will be followed by five more sessions at 12pm, 2pm, 3pm, and 4pm with the final session at 5pm.
