All the students, aged between nine and 19, are taking part in an intensive three week training camp in Twickenham to rehearse daily for their roles.
Haydn has been chosen to play the main role, of Chino, the hot tempered suitor of Maria. He said: “I am having an incredible time preparing for the production of West Side Story and to have one of the lead roles is an amazing opportunity. Stagecoach production manager, Matthew Clark, added that the children are all having a brilliant time rehearsing. He said: “It’s been fantastic bringing together a wide range of international performers and training them in such a short space of time; something that will provide valuable experience for a future in the world of theatre.”
