Youngsters across Hounslow made a fantastic mess as well as a huge amount of cash as they celebrated Red Nose Day last Friday.

Bedfont Rainbows youngsters raised £23 from making fairy cakes and digestive biscuits with slices of strawberry representing the red nose.

Meanwhile, pupils from Strand-on-the-Green Junior School in Chiswick managed to rake in £800 as PE teacher Buj Wretham (pictured) got into the spirit by allowing his students to dunk him in multi-coloured custard.

Over at Stagecoach performing arts school at Gumley House Convent School, in Isleworth, parents joined in on the action, while pupils from Forge Lane Primary in Hanworth went into school in back to front and inside out clothes.

And creative Lampton School pupils created a giant 75 metre symbol in the playground to highlight the plight of the 75 million children globally who have no access to primary education.

This came at the end of a week of fundraising which saw students take part in a 'Lampton's Got Talent' show, charity football matches, staff versus student quizzes and cake sales.
