Chelsea pensioners fundraise in memory of Margaret Thatcher

THE CHELSEA Pensioners are mourning the loss of their 'great friend and benefactor' Margeret Thatcher.

Over £4000 has already been raised through a new just giving page set up in Lady Thatcher's memory where people can make donations to the Chelsea Pensioners Appeal.

A spokeswoman said: "All at the Royal Hospital Chelsea were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Baroness Thatcher. She was a strong supporter of the Chelsea Pensioners."

The Late Lady Thatcher was last photographed with the Chelsea Pensioners at a launch of the Salute to Cooking book in October 2009.
