I WOULD like to thank Harefield community for all its support during my fundraising effort for Harefield Hospital.
I competed in the London Marathon, a fantastic day made even more special by the fact that along with my friend, Laura Parker, we have raised just under £1,000 for the trust.
Laura and I ran together, sporting Harefield Hospital T-shirts, and received loads of support along the route.
With so many large organised charities represented, we felt proud to be running for such a worthy cause.
Harefield Londis donated a flat screen digital TV, Harefield FC gave wine and spirits, and Jet Blinds and Windows and Mrs Bernie Murray and Mrs Audrey Horswood also donated gifts.
The staff at Londis, my mum, Audrey Horswood, and I sold raffle tickets mainly to local residents who generously bought and raised just under £600. The rest of the money was collected as sponsorship.
