The bobby dazzler of the TV antiques world was doing deals in Uxbridge on Saturday.

David Dickinson was at Brunel University filming an edition of his Real Deal show for ITV.

In the show, members of the public bring antiques and collectables they are considering selling and independent valuers put a price on them.

A line-up of dealers then puts in a bid, and the seller can accept or choose to go to auction with their valuables.

On Saturday, the biggest deals from the professional dealers included Mark Stevens paying £1,200 for two sapphire broaches, David Ford forking out £600 for a silver enamel box, Karen Dalmeny buying a sculpture for £500, and Jan Keyne spending £740 on five sovereigns.

The programme will be shown on ITV within a year.
