A CHART-TOPPING singer and DJ visited a Wembley superstore yesterday to launch a charity campaign.

Formermodel Sophie Ellis Bextor, who sang on hit dance single Groovejet, metshoppers at Ikea for the Soft Toy Campaign, which is raising money forchildren's charity UNICEF and Save the Children.

Some75 children enjoyed the half-term event and met Sophie as well as taking part in a story-telling session, teddy bear hunt and picnic.

IKEAWembley store manager, Juvencio Maeztu, said: "The atmosphere here atthe Wembley store was fantastic, the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselvesand were all very excited to see Sophie Ellis Bextor."

For the the Soft Toy Campaign, all Ikea stores will donate one Euro to charity for every soft toy bought, until December 23.

Sophiesaid: "The annual campaign aims to raise money for education projectsacross the world and the way you can help is really simple. WithChristmas fast approaching it's the perfect time to think aboutchildren."
