THIS mischievous moggie clearly thinks her hunting skills are the cat’s pyjamas.
While a more feral feline may bring home the remains of its latest catch to impress its owners, 18-month-old Tosca seems to be a real-life cat burglar, sneaking into neighbours’ homes to relieve them of socks.
Owner Dave Griffiths, of Stanley Avenue, Greenford, began to notice his pet’s newfound footwear fetish over the past month and now has almost 50 unclaimed pairs.
He said: “It’s getting really embarrassing now. I’ve knocked on neighbours’ doors but nobody knows where they’re coming from. I’ve got a carrier bag full of them now.
“It started in my house, collecting my socks, then I realised they’re not all mine.
“They’re all clean so she must be getting them from neighbours’ laundry baskets.”
Mr Griffiths, 47, works long shifts in the television industry, which he suspects may be the reason for Tosca’s secret exploits. He added: “I live with my niece and her boyfriend and they find it very funny.”
But as the temperature is beginning to drop, Mr Griffiths is keen to return the feet cosies to their rightful owners and will be leafleting neighbours in Stanley Avenue and nearby Long Drive.
