THERE'S not long to go now as the final judging begins for this year's Let's Do It awards.
The awards, run in partnership with Barclays Bank, recognises any person, facility or service which been of major benefit to the community in Ealing. The winner of Let's Do It will win £1,000 and two runners-up will each win £500.
Mr Strachan Barclays Branch Manager at Ealing Broadway said, “At Barclays we strive to strengthen local communities in which we live and work by supporting a range of causes from local schools to centres for older people and also improving financial awareness through the Barclays Money Skills Programme.
"The entries that we received are fantastic examples of all the good work going on in our local communities. The Let's Do It Awards are designed to support local causes, which we all hope will make a real and lasting difference.”
The shortlist includes Hammersmith and Fulham Mencap, Homestart Ealing, Alzheimer's Concern Ealing and Leamington Park Nature Reserve.
The awards presentation is due to be held before the end of the month.
