AFTER seeing the sign for the Greenford Carnival advertised, our family decided to go there on Saturday.

As it was a lovely day, my son and I decided to walk and we took our dogs with us. We walked from the White Hart to Ravenor Park. When we arrived at the gates we were told no dogs were allowed in. Was this because the weather was so hot and dogs can become aggressive in the heat? Because if it was planned before the date of the carnival, why on Earth was it not advertised.

I had to leave my family there to take the dogs on a long walk back home. On my return to the park, I was behind a lady with her disabled husband waiting to enter the carnival.

The lady selling the tickets charged both of them £1 to enter. She was not happy and told the lady her husband can enter Kew Gardens with no charge and could not believe he was being charged here. Neither could I.

Please next year make sure it is clearly advertised in the Gazette or posters if dogs are not welcome.
