A serial burglar whose targets included an office and a cricket club in Greenford today admitted to 20 offences in and around London.

Derek Wyatt, 35, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty at Ealing Magistrates Court to three counts of burglary and asked for another 17 offences to be taken into consideration.

Wyatt stole a laptop from the Greenford production office on April 22. He took another computer from film studios in Teddington, a car from a fitness centre in Windsor, and in court admitted raiding cricket and golf clubs and gyms in Greenford, Datchet, Stoke Poges, Chalfont St Giles, Denham, Sunbury on Thames, Weybridge, Uxbridge, Chertsey and Richmond.

All the raids took place between April and August.

Wanted notices were sent out after the thief was identified from CCTV and forensic evidence and he was caught after being stopped for driving while disqualified in the City of London on October 26.

DC Craig Thomas, of Ealing CID, said: "Wyatt is a career criminal who shows little regard to the law. His audacity in walking into these premises to steal from under the noses of his victims shows he also has little regard for those he is stealing from."
