A COLLISION next to the Polish War Memorial caused traffic chaos in Ruislip yesterday (Monday).

Two cars crashed on West End Road, Ruislip, near to the junction with the A40, which resulted in two women being taken to hospital.

The A40 was closed in both directions causing heavy traffic and delays of up to an hour. Residual traffic continued for several hours after the road re-opened.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 3.46pm yesterday (September 2) to reports of a road traffic collision involving two cars on West End Road. We sent a responder in a car and two ambulance crews.

“Staff treated two patients – a 44-year-old woman for back and arm pain and a 42-year-old woman for neck pain. Both patients were taken to Hillingdon Hospital.”
