A DRIVER was trapped in a narrow Uxbridge street by two cars and viciously assaulted by three attackers.

The attackers opened both driver and passenger doors and punched and restrained the victim while he was still wearing his seatbelt, causing him serious facial injuries.

The 21 year-old from Hayes was driving along Austin Waye, Uxbridge, in his blue Peugout 206 on Thursday at 10.45pm when an oncoming silver or grey Golf GTI came speeding towards him.

At the same time an unidentified vehicle pulled up behind him, meaning he could not reverse down the street.

Altogether there were up to six men involved in the incident, although it is currently unclear over the car which pulled up behind him was directly involved.

Police are keen to trace the driver and any occupants of this vehicle.

The attackers are described as being of Asian appearance and about 25 years old with short black hair. One was wearing a green polo shirt and another was wearing a black t-shirt.
