A VERITABLE forrest of cannabis plants was discovered following a drug raid in Southall.
Officers from Southall Green Safer Neighbourhood Team burst into a property in Hammond Road on Tuesday (March 2) and discovered a cannabis-farming operation.
Over 40 plants in total were found being grown in all of the rooms and in three sheds in the back garden, with all the hyrdophonics attached.
Sgt Richard Moelwyn-Hughes, team leader for the SNT said: "We are very pleased with the results of todays raid. This was quite an organised operation which has taken out of circulation a lot of cannabis which was destined for the streets of Southall.
"We will continue our fight against drugs as asked to do so by the community. A 56 year old man was arrested and bailed pending further enquiries."
