The NHS Ealing bowel screening team is holding a free event to raise awareness of the third most common type of cancer.

In Ealing, 115 new bowel cancer cases are diagnosed each year. People are invited to find out more about its signs and symptoms, and how it can be prevented, on Sunday (April 25).

Visitors will have the chance to take part in an interactive session about bowel cancer, walk through an inflatable colon to see what it looks like inside, talk to the screening team and more.

The event is in Sri Singh Sabha Gurdwara, 2-8 Park Avenue, Southall, from 9am to 4pm.
