Real ale lovers have been warned by CAMRA that the popular Twickenham Beer Festival could be cancelled due to a lack of volunteers.

Members of CAMRA's Hounslow and Richmond branch say the annual event, which has been running for 15 years, will have to fold if no one comes forward.

John Austin, the group's publicity officer, said the shortage of helpers for next October was caused by a number of a number of senior members stepping down.

Anyone who wants to help out at this year's festival is asked to call branch chairman Brian Kirton on 020 8384 7284.
