A WAR hero who served in Iraq and Afghanistan is devastated after thieves broke into his Fulham home and stole his medals.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the heartbreaking crime, which took place at the property in Wandsworth Bridge Road sometime between 1pm on August 25 and 1am on August 26.

The suspects also stole personal jewellery and computer devices.

Police have released images of the stolen medals, which are engraved on the rim with the words ‘Capt J A KENWORTHY’.

Detective Constable Adrian Pine, leading the investigation, said: “Burglary is a devastating and distressing crime and in this instance it’s compounded by the fact the thief has callously stolen medals belonging to one of our brave soldiers, I urge anyone who has any information, no matter how small they think it might be, to come forward.”
