A dedicated Ealing butcher went under the needle for 25 hours to have his favorite chop inked on his body.

Tony Luckhurst, 50, has been in the meat business since he was 12.

As a tribute to his trade, he had a lamb cutlet and an "angel of meat" tattooed on his upper right arm by Louis Molloy, David Beckham's tattoo artist.

The custom-designed half-sleeve took five weeks to complete, with the result unveiled on London Ink, a tattoo show on Discovery Real Time, this Sunday.

Mr Luckhurst said: "It's very impressive and it's a work of art."

Mr Luckhurst runs A.J. Luckhurst & Sons, a traditional English butcher on Melbourne Avenue.

He said: "My family is very supportive to see me go through the pain. My children think I'm an old fool. But I'm a big boy and I no longer need my mother's permission."
