IT IS brilliant news about the express bus route to West Drayton from South Ruislip. It's about time.

We feel rather cut off in this area of the borough. To get to Uxbridge without the car (and we are always being encouraged to leave the car at home) we have to wait for either the 282 or 114 to get to the nearest station, where we catch the train to Uxbridge and then get the 222 to West Drayton.

A hour and a bit journey, instead of 20 minutes by car. That is two buses and one underground train.

Travelling to Hillingdon Hospital can take forever, to get to appointments and visit patients.

This is always a worry as the 114 especially can be unreliable and the 282 buses are frightened of running on their own.

We have had up to five buses arriving within five minutes of each other at Eastcote Station.
