A man who escaped from a mental health centre while on day release has links to Brent and north west London.

Police said Peter Kerrigan was on escorted leave from the John Howard Centre in Homerton, when he absconded in Narroway, East London, at 4.45pm on Sunday (March 29).

The 26-year-old is from the Irish travelling community and serving an 11-year sentence for artifice burglary.

Officers say he has links to Brent, north west London and Maidstone in Kent.

Anyone that sees him or knows of his whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately on 999.
