ONE of Britain's most senior Buddhist monks has been found guilty of a series of indecent assaults that took place in Chiswick during the 70s.

Pahalagama Somaratana, of Dulverton Road, Croydon, was convicted of four counts of indecent assault on a female, but found not guilty of rape at Isleworth Crown Court on Thursday (May 3).

He pleaded not guilty to all charges

He will be sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court on June 1.
