Roll up roll up - Britain's 'most famous circus' is coming to Harefield.

From September 11 to September 14, Billy Smart's Circus will be at the village green.

This year's show is hosted by Yasmine Smart, the grandaughter of founder Billy Smart.

Billy Smart's is the largest company touring the UK.

Mr Smart founded his circus in 1946 and over the next 25 years it became a household name largely through its TV appearances.

The first colour programme to be transmitted by the BBC was a bank holiday screening of the circus.

Audiences peaked at 21million, a huge figure even now, and earned the circus a Silver Camera award.

In their 2014 tour, artists from around the world combine in a fast-moving two hour show.

Acts include the Flying Aces from Australia - five exciting youngsters on the flying trapeze and the 10 handed Assadulin Troupe from Russia, who will bring their spectacular Springboard and Russian Bar acts to the UK for the first time.

There will also be aerial acts, acrobats, clowns and jugglers.

A live band will provide the soundtrack for the dramatic show.
