THESE are the fifteen most wanted burglary suspects in Brent who are on the run.

Police released their mugshots this week to crack down of the number of break-ins across the borough.

Last month the Observer ran a similar appeal which led to three arrests.

Detective Inspector Rebecca Reeves said: "We would like to say a big thank you not only to the local media but also to those members of the public who did the right thing and came forward with information.

"We are looking to appeal again to residents and businesses who may recognise these faces. However, this time I would also like to appeal directly to these men and their families. Hand yourselves in and stop running. Face up to what you have done so you can take the first steps to paying your debt to society. My promise to you is that we will treat you fairly."

In the past year the number of break-ins in Brent has gone up by more than eight per cent. In September 2008 there were 3,302 burglaries compared with 3,591 in September this year.

In the last three weeks burglary victims in Brent have been targeted because front doors or communal doors into flats only have one lock. Police are urging people to use the double lock or get one installed.

Anyone with information about where these people are hiding should call Brent Police on 07917 067 281 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
