A MUSIC student could soon be known as the best looking man in the world.

Roland Johnson, 19, from Brentford, won the title of Mr England in July and will now compete in Manhunt International, a biannual version of Mr World.

The University of West London student had previously modelled in smaller jobs, including a stint as a Jean Paul Gaultier model at an Elton John party last year.

However, he only entered Mr England after a friend suggested it and impressed judges by composing and performing a guitar, bass and piano piece.

He said: "I really enjoyed the competition, we had to raise awareness for charity, which I loved, and meeting new people.

"When I met everyone else competing I was worried there might be a negative atmosphere with everyone wanting to win, but we all got on really well and it was great to meet so many people.

"All my friends and family are really supportive, my mum and dad are over the moon and it just feels like everything is going 100 miles an hour."

The fitness fanatic relies on the gym to clear his mind and relax, as well as prepare for one all important round.

He said: "We do have to do a swimwear round, and they are not board shorts, they are very little but I am looking forward to it.

"It is something I have never really done before, but I think it might be funny."

And, as for his new found fame, the single model is finding a new flurry of fans.

He said: "Girls are suddenly adding me on Twitter and Facebook, it's all very flattering. I have certainly had a lot more interest."

For now though, Roland is concentrating on fitting in his studies as well as preparing for a two week trip to South Korea on September 28 where he will compete to scoop the title of Manhunt International winner and £500,000 worth of prizes.
