A man from Brentford has admitted downloading nearly 250 pornographic images of children.

Donald Adams, of Layton Road, appeared at Kingston Crown Court on Monday (July 28) charged with possessing 247 indecent pseudo-photographs of children, which he had downloaded, and another nine, which he had printed.

The 51-year-old admitted both counts and was bailed to return for sentencing on August 18.

Pseudo-photographs are images which appear to be photos of children but have been manipulated, usually digitally. They are treated in the same way as actual photographs in court proceedings.

In March, a man received a suspended sentence after he admitted persuading a Harrow schoolgirl to send him naked photos.
