A main music stage has been confirmed for the Brentford Festival in September.

It will be one of two stages with artists split between here and the acoustic stage performing to crowds in the fields of Blondin Park in Ealing.

The original music line up with a mix of country and blues, rock and hip-hop, was announced on July 1.

Further acts have been booked since including solo female singer-songwriter Amanda Shaw who will perform on the acoustic stage, and a four-piece band from Hanwell called Et Tu Bruce playing harmony laden rock, pop and folk music.

However one act, Skinner, a six-piece rock folk band from Ealing, named in the original line-up will no longer be performing at the festival.

The events new musical director, musician Elaine Samuels, has hand-picked the acts performing on September 7.

This will be the second year the festival will be held at Blondin Park in the neighbouring borough of Ealing after a fall out over finances with Hounslow council's park contractor.

Keep with the latest progress on the festival with organiser Linda Massey through her event diary.

The Brentford Festival name remains as organisers remain hopeful it will one day return to the place it was originally held.
