PUPILS from St Gregory's RC Science College have returned from a trip to China where they learnt about the country's culture.

Students from the school in Donnington Road, Brent, were given the unique chance to develop their understanding of the vast nation by studying its history, art, science and geography.

During the trip over the Easter break, which was organised by teacher Christine Whiteside, pupils visited the Temple of Heaven in Beijing and spent a day at a Chinese school in Xian.

Andy Prindiville, headteacher, said: "The trip to China represents a fantastic opportunity for students from St Gregory's to experience unique culture and learn about scientific developments in what is arguably the world's most influential market place."
