A drug dealer who was a 'burden in Brent' has been sent to jail for four years after being spotted by plain clothes officers.

Fenan Michael, 27, of no fixed address was caught by police officers with 20 individually wrapped packages of crack cocaine and five packages of heroin in his mouth, Harrow Crown Court heard on Monday, September 15.

Brent police officers who were dressed in plain clothes caught Michael in Wendover Road, Harlesden in April, earlier this year.

The court heard how the officers saw Michael coming out of an address, he fled back inside the property and was then detained.

Two packages of crack cocaine and two packages of heroin where found on the floor next to him alongside the 25 packages found in his mouth.

DC Simon Cormack from the Priority Crime Unit said: “I am pleased with this sentence. Michael has been a huge burden to the Brent area and this is an excellent result for the Brent Community. This type of crime will not be tolerated and I hope this sentence will act as a deterrent for others."

Officers were able to stop Michael from swallowing the package, preventing him from harming himself. He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and charged on April 16.
