THE average house price in the borough has risen by almost seven per cent in the last 12 months, new figures have revealed.

The May data from the Land Registry’s House Price Index shows the average price of a house in Hillingdon is now £274,828, up 6.9 per cent in the last year.

Between April and May alone prices rose by 0.9 per cent.

That puts Hillingdon property well above the average house price in England and Wales, which stands at £161,969.

The average price of a home here is still cheaper than that of neighbouring boroughs Harrow (£307,870), Ealing (£345,383) and Hounslow (£297,253).
