The Mayor of London praised staff at a coffee house for taking part in a 'Day of Difference' to help rejuvenate community spaces.

Starbucks workers in Ealing will give up their time to help landscape a canal-side site into vegetable growing plots and clear rubbish from the Grand Union Canal.

The scheme is part of Starbucks commitment to business responsibility and they have pledged to donate one million hours of community service by 2015.

Boris Johnson, said: "Bravo to these Starbucks' staff for giving up their time to help make London a more pleasant place in which to work and live."
