Boris Johnson's Twitter Q&A took a turn for the hilarious on Thursday (July 16), as hundreds of joke tweets flooded the Mayor of London's hashtag.

The Mayor takes to the social network once a month to answer questions from the public, sent using the hashtag #askBboris.

But this week, Twitter users were feeling particularly mischievous, with many more joke questions, scathing insults and straight up mockery sent to the channel than genuine queries.

Many questions, predictably, centred on the top Tory's golden mop of hair, but as the session went on, the questions got more and more surreal.

But it's not the first time Boris has been mocked on Twitter. In May he showed his sense of humour by partaking in banter on the social networking site.
