Body in woods confirmed as missing man Ian Beaver

THE DEAD body found in woods in Hayes End has been identified as missing man Ian Beaver.

The body was discovered by a member of the public in woodland near Hayes End Road on Monday (27) evening.

Police said yesterday (Tuesday) that they believed the deceased to be Mr Beaver, before formal identification had taken place.

This was confirmed at today's (Wednesday) inquest, which opened and adjourned at Uxbridge Mortuary. A cause of death has yet to be determined.

The 48-year-old engineer went missing from his home in Hayes on August 21, and police made a missing person's appeal the following day.
