I WAS horrified to see Birthdays shop window at Westway, Greenford.

It was supposed to be dressed for Halloween but it looked more like Amityville house of horror - chopped limbs, bloody skulls and a strung-up line of blood-soaked assorted knives and cleavers.

We live in an age of knife culture, stabbings occurring every week, so we certainly don't need to be confronted with a scene that glorifies knives and blood, especially while out with our children. What sort of message are they getting from such butchery? Halloween is supposed to be about witches, ghosts etc, not about blood and gore.

Isn't it time these shops took responsibility for their actions and stopped putting out such destructive messages? Has the world gone mad?
