EXPLOSIONS, a swath of riot police and actors hit the streets of Pinner last week – but all in the name of art.

Though chaos reined in Barrow Point Avenue, the action was for a new black comedy – May I Kill You.

Written and directed by Stuart Urban, the film is based on the August riots, which saw violence spread across London through the use of social media.

Actors Kevin Bishop, from The Kevin Bishop Show, Frances Barber, who recently played Madame Kovarian in Doctor Who, and Jack Doolan, of Cemetery Junction fame, star in the feature film, which uses a house in Pinner as a backdrop for indoor and outside scenes, including explosions and stunts.

The story follows a policeman, played by Mr Bishop, who has a sinister agenda to ‘tweet and post videos on his merry way to fame’.
