A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital after being involved in a crash with a car on the busy Uxbridge Road on Sunday afternoon.
The man, 31, was taken to Charing Cross Hospital suffering multiple injuries including leg fractures and wounds to his elbows and knees.
He remains in hospital under medical observation but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Police cordoned off the area around Ealing Common for several hours after the accident and buses were diverted along Gunnersbury Lane and Popes Lane.
Ambulance crews arrived on scene at approximately 1:45pm and a female driver of a BMW involved in the collision also received a medical check-up but did not need hospital treatment.
Roads were re-opened at 6:20pm.
