A FORMULA One superfan took a break from hospital treatment to spend the day at Silverstone rubbing shoulders with celebrities and race drivers.

Brandon Kennedy, who lives in Manor Waye, Uxbridge, is treated at Great Ormond Street Hospital for epilepsy.

The 12-year-old was one of a group of youngsters from the hospital who went along to watch the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on June 30.

As Bernie Ecclestone’s VIP guest, Brandon met F1 commentator and former driver Martin Brundle, retired race driver Damon Hill, and Spice Girl and F1 fan Geri Halliwell (pictured), before settling down to watch the race.

Brandon said: “The people at Great Ormond Street Hospital are very nice and kind to me, and Formula One is the best sport.”
