A BEGGAR who has previously been kicked out of Hayes has now been served with an Asbo banning him from Uxbridge town centre.

Stephen Wrightson, 46, was handed the Asbo at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court after pleading guilty to four counts of begging.

He is banned from all areas of Hayes town centre and Uxbridge town centre, and from loitering near cashpoints anywhere in the borough. Wrightson (pictured left) would also breach his Asbo if he is found drinking alcohol in any area of the borough and should he breach any of his conditions, he can be arrested.

Evidence was presented to the court gathered as a result of a combined operation by Hillingdon Council's CCTV service and the community safety team, supported by statements from Uxbridge Business Against Crime, who said Wrightson's behaviour alarmed customers and harmed local trade.
