THE CLICK of a mouse could help to see £6,000 added to a charity donation following a fun-packed Bedfont community event.

Chris Beauchamp, of KGF Entertainments, held the Army in the Park event on Saturday September 3 at Bedfont Football and Social Club to raise money for Help for Heroes.

A total of £4,000 was gathered on the day after guests enjoyed a host of attractions including bouncy castles, vintage exhibitions and a set from garage legend DJ EZ.

But this total could be boosted to £10,000 if enough residents take to their computers and vote as part of Natwest's Community Force Challenge.

Mr Beauchamp has registered his event in the challenge, and if enough votes are cast then the total raised will more than double.

He said: "If we obtain enough votes to be registered in the top three most popular events we will be able to donate (an extra) £6,000 to Help for Heroes.

"The deadline for voting is October 23 so we only have three weeks to obtain as many votes as possible. It would be great if you could let friends know and make them aware of our challenge. Every vote is extremely important. It's completely free so I hope you can spare a few minutes and help us give Help for Heroes the best possible opportunity to receive this large amount of money."
