UP and coming dance stars launched a new school for people of all ages in Stanmore.
Melissa Walsh and Damiano Soldati are ranked in the top 50 amateur dancers in the country for ballroom and are using their knowledge to teach children and adults in many different dance styles.
Ms Walsh hosted classes on Saturday, May 5, at Bernays Hall, the Broadway, and said afterwards: “It was a really big success. We had a lot of people come down for the trial sessions and they all stayed for hours.
“Almost everyone who came and tried the free classes will come back and enrol at the dance school.”
Ms Walsh and Mr Soldati are dance partners and will soon compete in the international ballroom championships, which they came 38th in last year.
The classes will take place every Saturday at the same venue and will offer ballroom, Latin American, tango Argentine and Latino fitness gold for over 50s, among other styles.
Scholarships will be available to children from less fortunate backgrounds.
