A MOTHER of three who has also been shortlisted for an Asian Women of Achievement Award, prides herself on running a law firm for all.
Viney Jung, 44, started Jung & Co Solicitors, in North Road, Southall, in 1998, and runs free legal advice clinics as well as being committed to legal aid.
She said: “We try and stay ahead of new initiatives, but we are committed to doing things for our community such as the free advice clinic, law workshops in schools, work experience and sponsoring a local football team.
“I set up the firm because I wanted to have a career as well as a family.”
Viney is also a part-time mental health tribunal judge. The Asian Women of Achievement Awards are being held on May 15.
She was nominated for a Pride award by Vikash Dawda, who said: “Ms Jung is a local businesswoman who opened her law firm in Southall to serve the local community with affordable legal services.
“The firm has been running free legal advice services in the face of closure of citizen advice centres.
“Ms Jung also serves the local schools by offering work placements and attends careers days.”
